If you can make the argument on which 2021 guard has made a major rise in rankings and his recruitment, you can make the debate that Jaden Jones is close if not at the top of that list.
With a star studded squad at Prolific Prep, including two five-stars in Jalen Green and Nimari Burnett, not many knew about Jones this summer.
His recruitment skyrocketed, he landed offers from LSU, Colorado, San Diego State (took official visit), and several others.
Now he’s becoming a national priority.
“Arizona, LSU, USC, San Diego State, TCU, Arizona State, Gonzaga, Auburn, Cal Berkley, Oregon, Oregon State, Delaware State, Colorado, Rutgers, Texas Tech. I’m talking to all head coaches of these teams,” Jones told Stockrisers.com.
He also listed his new interests: Villanova, Illinois, Vanderbilt, Kansas.
Jones gave himself a scouting report, it was the following:
“I’m an all-around player that can handle the ball, create for others and shoot the long three. I can rebound and defend smaller and big guards my size. Can run the show at the one or play anywhere to help my team.”
As for his visits, he had the lone official visit to San Diego State and says that LSU plans on bringing him in when SEC play begins. Will Wade is extremely high on Jones after being one of his first offers.
Arizona recently offered as well and wants to bring him in this month for a game. Sean Miller visited Prolific Prep two weeks ago and is very high on him and teammate Frank Anselem, who took an official visit to Tucson.
Auburn is another school. They’ve yet to offer Jones but have had staff in to see him several times. They’re heavily recruiting teammate Jalen Green.
