Five-star guard Kennedy Chandler is no stranger to Stockrisers.com as we have been in contact and reporting for Kennedy since he bursted on the scene this summer with Mokan Elite.
On Thursday, just prior to the start of his Tennessee official visit, Chandler took the time to talk his recruitment with Stockrisers.com.
Which schools are heavily involved for Kennedy?
“Tennessee, Syracuse, Ole miss, Florida State, and Michigan. There are tons of schools involved, I listed the ones who I have official visits planned with,” Chandler said.
He just completed his first official visit, which was in Knoxville as he visited UT. Alongside him, five-star forward Paolo Banchero. The two have discussed the possibility of playing together and Chandler touched upon that subject.
“Me and Paolo are trying to play together, I love playing with him, he is a great player to play with. We were teammates at USA and just completely dominated.”
With Banchero he’s stated that despite the offers, he will remain in the 2021 class. The same can be said for Chandler who tells Stockrisers.com that he will not reclassify.
Towards the end of the summer, Chandler gained more interest from both Duke and Kentucky. They sent staff members in to watch and meet with Chandler and left impressed. Thing is, he doesn’t hold offers from either program, but that could change.
“Yes, UNC, Kentucky and Duke, plus Kansas who offered is staying involved. UNC, Kentucky and Duke haven’t offered yet but I believe they are gonna come soon,” Chandler says.
