That’s two four-star commitments in a week for Chris Holtmann and his staff. Four-star Zed Key of Long Island Lutheran has committed to Ohio State, he told Stockrisers.
“I chose The Ohio State University. I felt it was the best fit for me, my game and my development,” Key told Stockrisers.
Key held offers from Florida, Providence, Marquette, St. john’s, and several others.
He took his most recent official visit to Ohio State two weekends ago and absolutely loved it.
“Top academics and support services. How comfortable I felt with the player’s and Coaches. The opportunity to play on a big stage. Top competition night in and night out in one of the best conferences, all of that is the reason why.”
“Family atmosphere, development, opportunities once basketball is over.”
In addition, I asked him who he will recruit to Ohio State: “Whoever they need me to recruit. I will keep the lines of communication open with my high school and anyone in the tri-state area.”
He will complete his senior year at LUHI where he was last season and he listed off some of his senior season goals.
“Senior goals: Average a double-double and help my team win another State championship.”
