KK Robinson, the number two ranked player in the state of Arkansas

This summer was a huge one for KK Robinson. The 6’0 point guard picked up many offers and really showed the Nike EYBL circuit that he is for real. On August 14th Robinson cut his list to seven remaining schools in the running for landing him. The schools still remaining are Arkansas, Kansas, Illinois, Iowa State, Texas A&M, TCU, and Vanderbilt. I talked with Robinson about upcoming visits, offseason plans, and a few other topics in this interview.

Q- You recently cut your list of schools down to seven, what made you pick these schools to make the final cut?

A- “Those final seven schools were the most consistent on a daily basis. I had deep conversations with each school which made me more comfortable with them.

Q- Out of these seven schools, which ones have you went on visits to and do you plan on visiting the schools again?

A- “I’ve been to TCU on an unofficial visit, and going to take another unofficial to Arkansas next weekend the 24th. I haven’t scheduled any others but they are definitely coming in the future”.

Q- How did the AAU season go playing with ProSkills? (Nike EYBl team)

A- “We did really good, just came up a little short of our final goal which was actually winning Peach Jam”.

Q- How did you do Individually?

A- “I think I had a great summer considering going into the summer sessions with only 3 mid major offers and leaving with a couple more offers which are high major”.

Q- You attend Bryant High School in Arkansas, what is your main goal for your senior season?

A- “Well obviously winning the state championship, but also trying to get some of the other guys on my team offers and getting their names out there as well”.

Q- What are your plans this offseason until the high school season starts?

A- “I’ve been working on my explosiveness, getting tighter with the ball, finishing around the rim, and expanding my range and scoring options”.

Q- When do you plan on committing to where you will be attending college?

A- “I plan on committing before this coming up high school basketball season starts”.

Which ever one of these seven schools land Robinson, they will be getting an all around great point guard who has a real feel for the game. KK will be an impact player on whatever school he decides to commit to and I am looking forward to keeping an eye on him during his senior season at Bryant High School.
