Top-50 senior Matthew Murrell discusses his recruitment, move to IMG

Matthew Murrell was a star for Team Thad this summer and helped them win the UAA Finals. Last month, he also announced a major move regarding where he’d finish off his high school basketball career.

Murrell announced he’d transfer to National Champion winning, IMG.

“I’m going to be treated like a pro, the practices are going to be very competitive, I’m going to be surrounded by players at the same level of me or greater,” Murrell said on his move to IMG.

His recruitment has also been going very well, he’s got tons of schools still heavily involved with him.

He’s also got several new interests.

“Iowa State, Memphis, Ole Miss, Florida, Arkansas, NC State, Auburn, Vanderbilt, Georgetown, Mississippi State, Texas, LSU, St. Louis -(In no particular order)”

The new interests Murrell listed are Michigan State and UCLA.

He also said he will cut down his list in the fall. The 6-3 shooting guard also said he’s got no visits planned but could schedule some soon.
