Seven months ago, Stockrisers introduced you guys to Ben Gregg. Since that introduction, Gregg has landed himself offers from Oregon, Texas Tech, and USC.
Now, seven months later, he took some time to discuss his recruitment and his summer with Stockrisers.
“Recruiting has been a very fun and exciting experience for me, cause I’ve been dreaming about playing division one basketball my whole life,” Gregg told Stockrisers.
“We are planning on taking my officials during the fall and try to catch some football games. So cars nothing is set in stone but definitely planning on taking one to USC, Texas Tech, and Oregon state. Not sure where else yet.”
Last month, the communication period for 2021 prospects became live, that now gives college coaches the ability to contact the rising juniors.
“I got about 30 phone calls the first day they were allowed to reach out, and the first call was Oregon State, which shows that they are very interested in me, and shows that I am a high priority for them.”
He’s also garnered more interest during that period of time, from who though?
“Virginia’s the big one that has been new for me. They’ve been sending me letters every week, same with Louisville.”
And finally, Gregg sounds off on how his summer has been:
“This summer was good with my new high school and my aau team. Got better and was able to talk to some new coaches.”
