He’s taken visits to Stanford and Virginia and most recently landed a Duke offer this Spring, Mark Williams has broken out and seen his recruitment blossom.
He’s played extremely well for Boo Williams on the EYBL circuit and now he will help his team make a run this summer at Peach Jam. But, once their run at Peach Jam is over, Williams will take his recruitment off pause and take some more visits and cut his list.
“I’ll cut my list after Peach Jam and schedule some visits,” Williams told Stockrisers.
One of those visits will likely be an official visit to Duke this August. The entire staff conducted an in-home visit with Williams on May 2nd. He’s become a priority for the Blue Devils ever since offering him in April, his sister played at Duke which may help just a little bit and he’s also visited there on an unofficial basis before.
The Blue Devils just picked up five-star Jalen Johnson to join Jeremy Roach in the 2020 class. Following his commitment, Johnson had an instagram story where he tagged Williams and said “You next.”
Among the other schools involved with Williams is Stanford who had him on campus for an official visit on March 3rd and also completed an in-home visit with him on April 30th.
As for a commitment timeline, Williams says he aims for a fall commitment but isn’t really sure of an exact date.
