Four-star junior Donovan Johnson thinking about potential reclass

Donovan Johnson bursted onto the scene towards the end of his junior season. He had an excellent first few sessions on the Adidas circuit, before moving onto the EYBL circuit with All-Ohio.

He’s nabbed offers from Notre Dame, Miami, North Carolina, Pittsburgh, Louisville, and many others in the past few months.

But, his senior eligibility is in question in Pittsburgh but despite possibly finding another school, he’s thought about the possibility of moving up to the 2019 class and starting college very soon.

“Oklahoma State, Pittsburgh, Arizona, Ohio State, all spoke to me about it,” Johnson told Stockrisers.

He also said his father spoke to some more potential suitors: “Louisville and Notre Dame went to my dad.”

As for visits, he’s taken several, most recently being North Carolina where his brother Cam was the star this year before being drafted in the lottery by the Phoenix Suns.

He has also visited Miami, Ohio State, and Notre Dame as well.

A timetable for the reclassification decision?

“I do not have a set timetable.”

“Still up in the air despite the reports that are out there.”

— Still a slight chance, nothing is official yet.
