“It’s going to be Gonzaga.”
Those were the words of Julian Strawther, a top-30 junior, when I asked him earlier this week, where he’d be playing his college ball.
Strawther joins Dominick Harris for the 2020 class, which gives Mark Few two top-50 prospects with several others in the hunt.
So Julian, why Gonzaga?
“I chose the Zags because they have the best offense in the country, and the way they play really suits me. Also Coach Few and the entire staff really believes in what I do and what I can do to become a better player and a better man.”
What sealed the deal, when did you know?
“Really that official visit changed a lot, because early on i didnt know how i felt about them but when i was there to see everything, it all changed. I felt at home and comfortable. Also me and Dominick Harris are really close and we talked days on days on days about time committing there with him.”
What’s the plan, any early enrollment, or anything of that nature?
“The plan is just to go through senior year, have fun and enjoy me then get to Spokane next June and get after it.”
Message to the Zag’ fans
