After a coaching change at Vanderbilt, team commit Dylan Disu didn’t know what his plans were. He didn’t ask for a release or anything just waited for everything to pan out.
Then the program hired Jerry Stackhouse. The former Memphis Grizzlies assistant and NBA player called Disu just a day after being hired.
Last night, Disu told Stockrisers he intends to remain committed to the program and is excited to enroll and play for Jerry Stackhouse.
“We talked on the phone and I told him I would love to still come to Vanderbilt if they would have me and he told me he’s heard nothing but good things about me and he’d love to have me and then it was a done deal,” Disu said.
What does he know about his future head coach?
“He’s had great success at the next level as a player and coach and he won the G league championship which means he knows how to take new guys and help develop them.”
