Top-100 junior guard, LJ Cryer took his second official visit this weekend. This one was to Purdue. The staff has actively pursued Cryer for quite sometime, they have the belief he could be just as good as Texas native Carsen Edwards, both are from Texas.
Cryer not only is excellent on the court but succeeds in the classroom as well, he loved how the academics were at Purdue.
“I got see how great of an academic school it is which was really big for me,” Cryer said.
He also got to witness the Boilermakers get the victory over Minnesota which put them in a tie for first in the Big Ten.
“I got also got to see how enthusiastic the fans are about basketball and there style of play.”
“Overall I had a really good time out there.”
As for future plans Cryer will take an official visit to Mississippi State, there’s no date but it will be confirmed soon. He’s also aiming to commit in the summer or prior to the high school season.
