DJ Gordon has become a hot commodity over the past few months, he discusses his blooming recruitment.

Months back many didn’t know First Love guard DJ Gordon. The junior didn’t hold any offers until coaches finally got the chance to see him.

Then November-December hit, he racked up eight offers including Arizona State, TCU, Virginia Tech, Dayton, and several others.

“Honestly I wasn’t expecting it to come so fast but now since I’m getting all this attention it just motivates me to want to get better and better,” Gordon said.

He’s taken visits to Pittsburgh, Clemson, West Virginia, and was at Big Blue Madness in October.

He said there’s several coaches that haven’t offered that have consistently been in contact: “Clemson has been to a couple games already, Coach Platt at Tulsa, Coach Battle from Providence, Coach Manning at Maryland, and Coach Capel at Pitt.”

As for visits Gordon doesn’t have any planned but leaves his focus on officials.

“Yea I’m talking with my family now and we’re planning on taking some officials once the season is over, most likely during spring break.”
