Dawson Garcia has become a hot commodity amongst the 2020 class. The 28th ranked junior in the country, holds offers from Xavier, Texas, Baylor, Butler, among many others.
This year he’s taken officials to two schools. “I have taken two official visits to Texas and Baylor. They were both great experiences and loved both schools,” Garcia said on his visits.
As for who contacts him the most, he said it’s pretty equal across the board amongst the schools that have offered. Over the past few days several other schools have gotten involved including Indiana and Illinois who watched him play this past Tuesday.
This weekend he was also a recruiting guest for Minnesota, one of the team’s that have been on him the hardest since he’s from that area.
As for future visits Garcia has a desire to visit one of the Big 10’s best programs. “I am planning on taking an official to Ohio State in the near future,” Garcia said.
Garcia also touched upon how his game has expanded and the area’s that he’d like to improve in.
“I feel like I’ve gotten a lot stronger and more explosive and also feel like I can shut down any player in front of me on the defensive end, also shooting over people and my range on the court had gotten a lot more consistent in my opinion. I want to continue and work on every single aspect of my game and become the best player I can be.”
