While Tim O’Toole was taking in Oak Hill’s Kofi Cockburn last night, Jason Capel was taking in two major 2020 target’s for Pittsburgh. O’Toole also got the chance to watch 2020 four-star Cam Thomas of Oak Hill as well.
Capel evaluated Hunter Dickinson, the 7-footer who’s also former AAU teammates of current Pittsburgh freshmen Xavier Johnson. Dickinson, a junior at DeMatha, visited Pittsburgh unofficially back in September. Since then, he’s taken two official visits to Notre Dame and Purdue also took in a Maryland game.
The second prospect evaluated was Earl Timberlake. One of the most underrated top-35 prospects. Prior to the first contact period in June, Jeff Capel wasted no time offering Timberlake. 3 months later Timberlake visited campus unofficially and has remained a top priority for the staff.
