Indiana’s staff and fanbase can now breath. Five-star prospect Trayce Jackson-Davis is staying home. He committed to Indiana and joins Armaan Franklin in the 2019 class. He’s Archie Miller’s second straight five-star (Romeo Langford) and was Indiana’s top-target.
We spoke with Jackson-Davis last night, he broke down his commitment and more.
JW: Staying home means what to you?
TJD: Staying home and playing in front of fans means the most, It’s an amazing thing and I’m just happy that I can do it in my own backyard and in my own state and represent them the best way possible.
JW: Why did you finally decide you will stay home?
TJD: I decided to stay home because I felt that there is no place to do it like Indiana and it is one of the few basketball states where they love basketball.
JW: One and done?
TJD: I’m going to stay in college as long as I need to until I feel like its the right time to go.
JW: How far will this team go?
TJD: I’m going to try and work and get other recruits to join me, We have one in my brother Armaan Franklin but I want to try and finish this class off strong.
As for other names thrown out to me by TJD for him to recruit, Keion Brooks and… Isaiah Stewart. More on that soon.
Congrats to TJD.
