Hey, Y’all here’s this week’s edition of Jake’s Take, I’m only answering 3-4 questions due to some not having answers.
As I answered last night via twitter, Watts is slated to sign his LOI on Monday, his coach told Stockrisers.
Nothing is set in stone but Watts will definitely be signing this period. The Spartans first commit and top-30 prospect will officially be a Spartan next week, MSU fans take deep breaths.
Quinn, yes. In his first three games this season he’s averaged more than 27 points including a huge 38 point outburst in the first game of the season. With Slazinski currently ranked in the high-100’s, you should and will see a rise in his rank as the season moves along.
As for Williamson, this kid has proven in the first four games that he should be a five-star prospect. He has recorded four consecutive double-doubles including a 35-10 game against the top team in the state, Denton Guyer. He also recorded one yesterday with 24-21 against the second best team in Texas, South Garland.
With both of these guys headed to Louisville next year and both expected to get boosts in the rankings, Chris Mack got himself two hidden gems.
Many think with Balsa Koprivica committed, a 7-foot center, this would eliminate the Seminoles from contention for another 7-footer in Naheem McLeod. I disagree, with a guard-heavy roster down in Tallahassee and a majority of the bigs being juniors and seniors, I don’t see the problem with both McLeod and Koprivica being there.
McLeod was slated for an announcement on the 15th but was changed to this upcoming week due to weather. Could end up being a huge early period for Leonard Hamilton.
