Reports from ESPN came out today that 2019 five-star and NC State commit Jalen Lecque could consider the NBA rather than heading to the Wolfpack next season. He’s currently playing with Brewster Academy, who has produced NBA talent.
Brewster is currently up in Nassau, the Bahamas where they are competing in several exhibition games up there. According to multiple sources, there will be NBA representatives in attendance for Lecque and a slew of others.
The latest player to do this was Anfernee Simons who was also ranked as a five-star, not the same ranking as Lecque but both within the top-25, He ended up not choosing a school during his post-grad year at IMG Academy, after that he declared for the draft and was chosen in the late first round by the Portland Trailblazers.
Lecque who is also excellent in the classroom said he has the grades as well to be able to make this leap. Prior to him committing to NC State, he was considering Oregon, Tennesse, Louisville, UCLA, Texas Tech, and TCU.
