Kadin Shedrick cuts list, plans two visits

After blowing up over the last few weeks 2019 (will be) four-star, Kadin Shedrick, 6-10 big from Holly Springs (NC) has cut his list to eight schools.

Shedrick broke down why these schools made the cut and also tells Stockrisers about visits.

*Visits: Virginia, UO, August 19th — Xavier, TBD. — Wake Forest had unofficial last week.

Indiana, Main recruiter: Tom Ostrom.

Thoughts: Indiana talked about the basketball culture around the whole state, not just the campus alone. The type of atmosphere at the games and that kind of stuff. They Believe I would have success as a four there.

Louisville, Main recruiter(s): Chris Mack and Mike Pegues.

Thoughts: Louisville believes that I would be a good player to come in as the five freshman year as the current center graduates this year. Would use me as both a stretch 4 and 5.

Providence, Main Recruiter(s): Ed Cooley and Jeff Battle.

Thoughts: Providence emphasized the importance of relationships in the process and knowing how good of a history Garner Road has had with Providence I believe that’s could be a good choice.

Virginia, Main Recruiter(s): Tony Bennett and Orlando Vandross.

Thoughts: UVA believes that I’d be a great fit for the program and their playing style. They’re excited about what they saw in July.

Wake Forest, Main Recruiter(s): Danny Manning and Steve Woodberry.

Thoughts: Wake Forest is close to home and I have a good relationship with the coaching staff and learning from a player like Danny Manning is intriguing.

Wisconsin, Main Recruiter(s): Greg Gard and Dean Oliver.

Thoughts: Wisconsin has a good past with developing bigs and they have a good program in the past which is intriguing to me.

Xavier, Main Recruiter(s): Travis Steele and Dante Jackson.

Thoughts: Xavier has a winning tradition in the Big East and is a program that I believe can help develop me.

*Florida also made the list but is the most recent offer, Coach White, and assistant Darris Nichols are the recruiters.
